Unleash the Possibilities
A Capital Campaign for South Bend’s new animal care facility
Overall, our goal for the new shelter is to increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia by offering the best care for our animals. We also want to provide better education so we can help prevent animal abandonment and cruelty.
The new facility will allow us to:
- Increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia by offering the best care for our animals and people.
- Reduce stress to keep our animals healthier, happier and more adoptable.
- Prevent disease to keep our animals from getting sick thereby reducing euthanasia.
- Create warm and welcoming facilities to provide the best customer service possible, and bring in more potential adopters.
- Allow more opportunities for socialization between people and animals so they can bond more quickly, thereby increasing adoptions.
- Focus on education and prevention to address the root causes of animal abuse, homelessness, abandonment and overpopulation.
- Create a more efficient and healthy work space so we can do our work more effectively.
- Become a better neighbor by being quieter, more aesthetically pleasing, and more environmentally friendly.
To support this mission, please consider a gift of $50, $100 or more to purchase a brick that will adorn the entrance of the new facility or to support a spay/ neuter surgery for one of the many SBACC cats or dogs.
